This cover has been designed using a photo by intrepid photographer John W. Herbert, who has thousands of images on display at Kayak Yak website at this link. With so many images of islands and shorelines in his repetoire, Herbert's a natural for an image appropriate to a book set on SaltSpring Island.
The rocks along the shoreline in this picture bring to mind the rocks explored by protagonist Elise during her search for petroglyphs -- traditional rock carvings. Island Views is a short novel, a romantic intrigue where the mystery is made lighter by a little romance.
